Pre-Competiton Training ——Igniting the Charm of Language in Children
To help students fully showcase themselves and perform at their best in the upcoming recitation contest, we are offering special pre-contest training sessions. This training focuses on improving language expression, stage presence, and confidence—so that every participant can shine brightly on stage.
I. Training Goals
- Enhancing Language Expression: Practice pronunciation, intonation, pauses, and rhythm to make recitations more natural and engaging.
- Understanding the Work: Guide children to grasp the emotions and themes of their pieces, enabling them to deliver sincere and heartfelt performances.
- Stage Presence and Confidence: Teach posture, gestures, eye contact, and emotional delivery to help children overcome stage fright and perform with poise.
- Personalized Guidance: Tailored instruction based on each participant’s strengths, highlighting individuality and unique style.
II. Training Content
- Voice and Breathing Exercises: Strengthen vocal projection and control through mouth, tongue, and breathing techniques.
- Rhythm and Emotional Expression: Learn to adjust pace and pauses according to text rhythm for a more vivid performance.
- Stage Etiquette and Performance Skills: Simulate stage settings to practice movement, eye contact, and facial expressions.
- Practice and Feedback: Each participant will perform individually or in small groups, followed by targeted feedback and improvement tips.
III. Teaching Staff
Our recitation training is taught by senior teacher, Principal Liu Yan and Teacher Yuan Ling:
Principal Liu Yan has nearly 30 years of experience in Chinese language education and is a senior expert in Chinese and early childhood education. She majored in Chinese and Early Childhood Education and obtained a diploma from the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) in the United States. She actively participates in the Chinese Language Teachers Association of USA Teaching Seminars and has served as a speaker to share her teaching experience with peers.
Principal Liu has taught students across a wide range of ages, from preschool children as young as three years old to high school students. Her teaching methods are unique, with a strong emphasis on multimedia and game-based approaches. She uses speaking, singing, and dancing to stimulate younger students’ interest in learning, while also training their basic writing and public speaking skills. At the same time, she integrates Chinese culture into her teaching to help older students build a solid foundation in the Chinese language, preparing them to successfully take the CBE and AP exams.
Over the years, Principal Liu’s classes have attracted a large number of students who came specially for her reputation, and she has received unanimous praise from parents. She has truly achieved the goal of enabling students to learn Chinese and love Chinese.
Mr. Yuan Ling, a dancer and choreographer based in the United States, is a member of the China Dancers Association. He was awarded the title of Outstanding Talent in the United States and selected for the China Cultural and Art Talent Pool. As the first examiner of the China National Folk Dance Grade Examination Center in North Texas, he has participated in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala and European cultural exchange programs multiple times. He also took part in the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and served as the choreographer for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 7th World Military Games.
With over 25 years of experience in dance creation, stage performance, and teaching, Mr. Ling’s dance works have received numerous national awards. Since moving to the United States in 2022, he has been invited to join the Dallas Lezi Dance School as a choreographer and teacher. He has created and choreographed several pieces for students, including the solo Flying, duet Tea Picking Girl, and trio Fire Phoenix. These works have won multiple first prizes in various U.S. dance competitions and are highly praised by both parents and students.
In July 2024, Mr. Ling was invited to serve as a visiting professor at the New York Bayside Dance Art School to conduct teaching exchanges. As an artist dedicated to bringing the beauty of Chinese national folk dance to the world stage, his work and achievements have been widely reported by major media in both China and the United States.
IV. Training Fees
Training Duration: Adjusted according to each participant’s level and needs, with a minimum of 6 hours and a maximum of 10 hours. (Minimum of 6 sessions)
Costume: $30
- Groups of 5 or more participants: $28 per person per hour
- Groups of 3–5 participants: $38 per person per hour
- Duet programs: $48 per person per hour
- Solo programs: $68 per person per hour
V. Training Arrangement
Participants are required to attend pre-competition training at the time and location arranged by the organizing committee. Those who miss the training will be responsible for any consequences.
VI. Importance of Training
Pre-competition training is not only aimed at achieving awards but also serves as an opportunity to comprehensively improve language skills, self-confidence, and stage performance. Through the training, children will not only be better able to express themselves in the competition but also gain lasting benefits in their daily learning and life.

朗诵大赛赛前培训 —— 点燃孩子的语言魅力
为了帮助同学们在即将到来的朗诵大赛中充分展示自我、发挥最佳水平,我们特别开展了赛前培训课程。本次培训以提升语言表达能力、舞台表现力和自信心为核心,让每一位参赛者都能在舞台上熠熠生辉。
一、培训目标
- 理解作品内涵:引导孩子深入理解朗诵作品的情感和主题,从而能够情感真挚地表达内容。
- 语言表达能力提升:通过训练发音、语调、停顿和节奏,让孩子们朗诵更自然、更富感染力。
- 舞台表现与自信:教授站姿、手势、眼神和情感表达技巧,帮助孩子克服紧张,在舞台上自信大方。
- 个性化指导:根据每位参赛者的特点,进行针对性指导,让孩子的朗诵更具特色和个人风格。
二、培训内容
- 发声与气息训练:通过口腔、舌头、呼吸练习增强声音的穿透力和控制力。
- 语言节奏与情感表达:学习如何根据文本节奏调节语速与停顿,使朗诵更生动有力。
- 舞台礼仪与表现技巧:模拟舞台场景,进行走位、眼神交流及表情管理训练。
- 反复演练与点评:每位参赛者进行单独或小组朗诵,老师进行针对性点评和优化建议。
三、师资力量
我们的朗诵培训由资深教师授课:刘滟校长和袁凌老师
刘滟校长拥有近30年的中文教育经验,是一位资深的中文与幼儿教育专家。她主修中文及幼教专业,并在美国获得了国际蒙特梭利协会(AMI)颁发的教育文凭。她积极参与《全美中文教师协会教学研讨会》,并曾作为经验交流报告的演讲者与同行分享教学心得。刘校长教授的学生年龄层广泛,从学龄前的3岁儿童到高中生均有涉猎。她的教学方法独特,尤其注重多媒体与游戏化的教学方式。她通过“说、唱、跳”来激发低年级学生的学习兴趣,同时在训练基础写作与演讲能力的过程中,注重中国文化的融入,为高年级学生打下扎实的中文功底,帮助他们顺利应对CBE和AP考试。多年来,刘校长的课程吸引了大批慕名而来的学生,并获得了广大家长的一致好评。她真正做到了让学生学中文、爱中文。
袁凌老师,旅美舞者及编舞,中国舞蹈家协会会员,荣获“美国杰出人才”称号,并入选中国文化艺术人才库。作为中国民族民间舞等级考试中心驻北德州地区的首位考官,他曾多次参加CTV春晚及欧洲文化交流活动,并参演2008年北京奥运会开幕式,担任第七届世界军人运动会开闭幕式编导。袁凌拥有超过25年的舞蹈创作、舞台表演及教学经验,其创作的舞蹈作品多次荣获国家级奖项。自2022年旅美后,他受邀加入达拉斯乐姿舞蹈学校担任舞蹈编导与教师,为学生创作编排了民族舞独舞《飞》、双人舞《采茶姑娘》、三人舞《火凤凰》等作品,这些作品多次在美国各类舞蹈比赛中荣获一等奖,深受家长和学生认可。2024年7月,他受邀赴纽约贝赛舞蹈艺术学校担任客座教授,开展教学交流。作为一名将中国民族民间舞蹈之美传播于世界舞台的艺术家,袁凌的个人事迹已被中美各大媒体多次报道。
四、收费标准
培训时长:根据参赛者的水平和需求调整,最低不少于6小时,最多不超过10小时。

• 2人节目:每人每小时48美元。
• 1人节目:每人每小时68美元。

参赛者需根据组委会安排的时间和地点参加赛前培训,错过培训的参赛者需自行承担后果
